Excellent quality :) The tea has a rich flavour :)

I haven’t been using it for long, but so far it has worked very well for me. I’ve replaced my morning coffee with it: I shake it with protein powder and coconut milk, then mix it into my oatmeal. Since I started having it this way, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t give me a sudden jolt of energy; instead, it keeps me alert gradually. As for the taste, I’d say it depends on how you prepare it. I didn’t like it with water, but the milk-and-oatmeal version brightens my mornings. I recommend it!

A good source of fiber and amino acids.

From the start, I found it hard to believe that 100 g of genuine matcha tea would cost €4.30. For comparison, at a certain drugstore chain (which probably has some of the cheapest organic products), the cheapest matcha costs €11 for 30 g. As soon as you open the packet, a fishy smell hits you, and instead of being bright green, the powder is dark green—perhaps even greenish-brown. The taste is not much better. When mixed with water, it tastes of fish rather than strong green tea, as if I were drinking warm water from the Váh River. I am not the only one who feels this way. Half my family tried it, and none of them liked it. Personally, I will give matcha another chance, but I will probably visit a tea house to find out what genuine matcha tastes like and perhaps buy some there to prepare at home. Maybe it will taste the same and the problem is just me, but I would not buy this again to prepare and drink it voluntarily. I have read more about “fake” matcha, and I suspect this is matcha from China rather than Japan. That would fit the things I mentioned above: the aftertaste, smell and colour. If you have tried kratom, I would compare this particular tea to it. It tastes and smells the same. Anyone who knows what kratom tastes like will know what I mean, and few people would willingly drink tea made from it.

At first, I was concerned about how this matcha would taste because it seemed too inexpensive. I am used to paying around €30 for 30 g of matcha, so this was much cheaper. However, when I tasted them both, I was surprised to find almost no difference. It is not bitter, it froths beautifully, dissolves well, and has a lovely green colour. It tastes just like the matcha served in a tea house. If you do not like the grassy taste of matcha, simply add honey or another sweetener.
